Live Journal

I joined a group on live journal that I found last night. It's for widows/widowers and I have so far enjoyed reading it. I posted a couple things, and I am glad I found it, as I can related to a lot of what people are saying and feeling. I have been thinking of writing my experiences as a stepmom down, and dealing with an unreasonable ex, (My husband always said, "Remember you can't reason with unreasonable people") but then I think about what an overwhelming task that would be, considering I have MANY years of emails/letters to go through, recorded phone conversations, and just stuff. I would probably be able to write something for nearly every day, definitely  from every month starting from the summer of 1994 until my husband passed away in Nov 2005. It's something I thought about doing before my husband died even, but just never did it. If I started it now I don't think I would be going backwards, if you know what I mean. I thought it would be quite catharti…

Things That Make You Go, HMMMM

Two days ago, I got more junk mail for one of my former stepkids. Today, I get a phone call from a childhood friend of my (former) oldest step son. He said he grew up and went to school with my  oldest stepson, but I found it very 'odd' that when I answered my home phone, he asked for my oldest stepson's mom and stepdad, but using MY last name. He said, "Well, I am looking for Patrick (and MY last name) and when I explained that I knew who the female was he was asking for, and explained that she was my husbands ex wife who married a man named Pat and gave THEIR last name, I may have confused him more, LOL. I went on to explain who I was, and got his name and number and told him I would get a message to my (former) stepson, as I didn't want to give out his number. Instead of asking this man who HE was, I sh…

A Friendly Hello, from my Myspace.com visitors

Just saying hi to those that visited my myspace from Moses Lake, WA and El Cajon, CA and San Diego, CA. My (former) stepkids (the "younger" two, ages 19 and 22) either live there or have family there. A 'former' niece lives in San Diego. This niece had always been nice and respectful to my kids and I, but the relationship had been strained as well. It's sad when people let other people influence their relationships.  My husband and I have a son together, so when he asks about his 'brother and sister', I will go to their myspace so he can see their pics. My son actually does miss them, even now. My husband raised my daughter since she was 10 months old, so she grew up treating them as her brother and sister too, but they treated her badly for many years as well. THEY on the other hand, don't want anything to do with their brother, my son, and haven't wanted anything to do with him, for many years, just like they didn't want anything to do with…
